Engineers Seek to Acquire Land in Freehold, N.J., for Road Improvements.

Feb. 9--FREEHOLD, N.J. -- The county engineering department has asked the Board of Freeholders to approve the beginning of land-acquisition proceedings for an intersection improvement at County Route 516, Lower Main Street and Gerard Avenue in Aberdeen.
The project will be partially supported by financial contributions from the municipal government and the state agency that operates the Garden State Parkway.
Assistant County Engineer Joseph Ettore said at the freeholders' workshop meeting on Thursday a parcel of land just under one acre needs to be acquired before construction of intersection improvements can begin. The parcel is privately owned.
