Interstate Bakeries Ends Deal to Distribute Bread for Pepperidge Farm.

Feb. 10--Citing lower-than-expected financial returns, the parent of Hostess Twinkies is ending a two-year deal for its Interstate Brands West Corp. subsidiary to make and distribute bread for Norwalk-based Pepperidge Farm Inc., a unit of the Campbell Soup Co.

The Pepperidge Farm/Interstate Bakeries Corp. alliance produced the line of breads under the Pepperidge Farm brand in the Arizona, Utah and Montana markets, as well as parts of Idaho, Nevada, North Dakota, Oregon and Wyoming.

Interstate's Production and distribution of Pepperidge Farm's whole grain bread, cinnamon raisin swirl bread and its Farmhouse line of breads in these markets will end Saturday....
