Analysts Encouraged by Sales, New CEO at Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia.

Feb. 10--Martha Stewart's company appears to be weathering her criminal trial better than expected, with some experts citing strong sales of a new recipe magazine and plenty of cash for future projects as evidence of long-term strength.

These trends, coupled with leadership from new chief executive Sharon Patrick, led Morgan Stanley last week to revise its gloomy outlook. The brokerage downplayed the chances that its worst-case scenario for Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia will become reality, though stock analysts said many hurdles remain before Stewart's legal woes are resolved.
