Feb. 11--The Eastside was King County's big loser in home sales last month.
The area reported the fewest closed sales, listings and pending sales -- when offers have been accepted but sales haven't closed -- of any area in the county. Sales and listings dropped throughout the county in January, typically a sluggish month for real-estate sales because of bad weather and the post-holiday daze.
Total listings fell 15.1 percent and new listings dropped 23.5 percent on the Eastside last month, according to figures released last week by the Northwest Multiple Listing Service.
