New Concrete Block Manufacturing Plant to Locate in Chon Buri, Thailand.

Feb. 17--Sino-Thai Engineering Plc (Stecon), Chonburi Concrete Plc (CCP) and King Pac Industrial Co (KPI) have set up a 550-million-baht venture to manufacture lightweight autoclaved aerated concrete blocks to tap the property and construction boom.

Stecon and CCP will each hold 40 percent in the new joint venture, Autoclaved Aerated Concrete Product (AACP), with the remaining 20 percent held by KPI. Registered capital will be 350 million baht.

The company will build a plant with annual production capacity of three million square metres in Chon Buri in the third quarter. It is expected to be completed by mid-2005, said CCP chairman Pratheep...
