Power Demand Forecast Revised in Thailand.

Feb. 20--The robust economy has prompted the Energy Ministry to revise its forecast for power demand growth, which looks as far into the future as 2011.
From this year until 2006, annual growth in the demand for electricity has been raised to 7.11 percent, or 1,322 megawatts, up from the earlier forecast of 5.03 percent.
From 2007 to 2011, growth is predicted to be 6.9 percent a year, or an amount equal to 1,821 megawatts, against the earlier forecast of 6.2 percent.
Higher power demand has been attributed to the improved economy and the consequent growth in gross domestic product (GDP).
