Thai Jewelers Urge Free-Trade Agreements with Importing Countries.

Feb. 26--Gem and jewellery traders yesterday urged the government to move forward with free trade area agreements for gems and jewellery with countries that are key importers, and at the same time assist small and medium exporters in getting better access to international gems and jewellery trade fairs.
"Our government has managed to establish free trade area agreements with several major gem and jewellery importing countries but the pacts haven't included free trade agreements on gems and jewellery," said Boonkij Jitngamplang, president of Benson Jewelry Co.
