Albuquerque Hospital Hosts Debate on Pros, Cons of Helicopter Flights.

Feb. 27--SANTA FE, N.M. -- As an air ambulance lifted off the helipad at St. Vincent Hospital on Thursday evening, dozens of neighborhood residents filed into a hospital auditorium to talk about how the helicopters, for better or worse, have affected their lives.

Some spoke of shaking walls and sleep deprivation caused by Angel One, the helicopter that, until late last year, was based at the hospital.

Others expressed gratitude.

"We hear the helicopter, too," said resident Diane Pick. "But now I say a prayer of thanks every time."

Pick shared the story of her 3-year-old grandson, Harrison, who became critically ill and required a 1:30 a.m....
