Malaysian Motorcycle Maker Doubles Production in Thailand.

Mar. 1--Production of the Malaysian motorcycle brand JRD was recently doubled in Thailand to 4,000 units to meet brisk demand and cater to a wider range of products.
JRD Bright Motor Industries Co, better known for its scooter technology, has been producing 2,000 units per month at its motorcycle assembly plant in the the southern province of Songkhla since its commercial start-up in 2002.
The plant has full production capacity of 10,000 units per month.
The company, the newest player in the Thai motorcycle market dominated by several Japanese brands, achieved sales of 15,000 units in its first year of operation last year.
