U.S. Beef Producers Pleased with Mexico's Partial Lifting of Ban.

Mar. 5--KEARNEY, Neb. -- Mexico's announcement Wednesday that it would partially lift its ban on U.S. beef exports was welcomed Thursday by producers and government officials who gathered at the Governor's Agriculture Conference.
The conference focused on opportunities in a global market and how to ensure that Nebraska producers can meet increasing market demands.
"We've got to adapt if we are going to maintain that global competitiveness we are here talking about today," said Nebraska Agriculture Director Merlyn Carlson.
