Disney Shareholders' Vote Likely to Force End to Eisner's Reign, Experts Say.

Mar. 7--Michael Eisner has wielded almost unchecked power over the Walt Disney Co. for two decades, serving as emperor of the vast entertainment empire.
With last week's stunning no-confidence vote from shareholders, that reign is likely drawing to a difficult close, experts say.
Even if the dethroned chairman hangs on as chief executive officer until his contract expires in 2006, management and leadership experts think the public rebuke will make it extremely difficult for Eisner to continue portraying himself as a legitimate leader.
The shareholder rebellion has left Eisner as an emperor without clothes, some said.
