Raleigh, N.C., Software Maker Attracts $6.5 Million Private Funding.

Mar. 9--Relativity Technologies, which two years ago was troubled by money woes, layoffs and departures of top executives, has attracted $6.5 million in private funding as the Raleigh software maker refocuses under a new management team.
The funding, which was led by Wachovia Strategic Ventures, will be used to improve distribution of Relativity's products and hire people for its marketing, sales and technical support, said Steve Maysonave, president and chief executive.
"We will add about 20 people in the Raleigh office this year, and 40 to 50 in Europe and Asia," Maysonave said. The company now has about 100 employees, with about half at its...
