Sikorsky Touts Virtues of Its Proposed Presidential Helicopter.

Mar. 11--WASHINGTON -- Walk up to the dark green Sikorsky aircraft vying to be the next presidential helicopter and it's hard to miss the circular logo on each side: "All-American Team," it reads, a clear reminder to military testers, lawmakers, Pentagon officials and others of a fact that Sikorsky and its partners hope will work in their favor.

Stratford-based Sikorsky has flown presidents on the helicopter known as Marine One since the Eisenhower administration and is in a pitched battle with a team led by Lockheed Martin and AgustaWestland, a European consortium, to replace the current fleet.

A decision is expected in April or May.
