More Sales Staff Needed, Thailand's Securities Sellers Say.

Mar. 11--The Association of Securities Companies wants to increase the number of equity sales staff in the market six-fold to 30,000 to help meet the needs of the expanding investor base.

Association president Jongrak Raruaysong said based on 300,000 accounts in the system, each sales staff currently handles an average of 60 accounts, with 40 considered active.

But a 1:20 staff to account ratio was more appropriate to ensure adequate service quality in the future, he said.
