University of Florida Food Science Team Creates Low-Carb 'Flaquita'.

Mar. 11--All you humdrum tortillas made of flour and corn, move over.
Make way for the flaquita, a high-protein wrap made from chicken.
Lauren O'Kelley, 26, and Michael Madden, 27, newlyweds who live in North Palm Beach, were on a three-student University of Florida food science team that came up with the idea for the product.
Now it's patented, and UF's Office of Technology Licensing is looking for a company to manufacture and market the low-carb tortilla.
If timing is everything, then the flaquita could be destined for success.
