Mar. 17--For the first time, tiny downtown office tenants will be able to rent space in the tony World Financial Center.
Brookfield Properties is dividing up the 25th floor of Cesar Pelli-designed skyscraper 3 World Financial Center, and building seven ready-to-rent offices.
The pre-builts, as they're called, will be 2,800 to 6,000 square feet in size, and available for occupancy in late June.
Downtown's largest landlord decided to do the project because numerous prospective tenants asked about renting small spaces at the complex on the edge of Ground Zero. These offices "will be sought after," said Brookfield leasing exec Ed Hogan.
