Thai Petroleum Firm Seeks 10 Percent Growth in High-Margin Lubricant Oil Sales.

Mar. 20--State-run Bangchak Petroleum Plc expects 10 percent growth in lubricant oil sales this year to 550 million baht, according to Manoon Siriwan, senior vice-president for lube marketing.
The company expects to increase its share of the lubricant oil market to 5 percent from 4 percent last year. The local lubricant market is estimated to be worth 30 billion baht with sales of 250 million litres annually, but Mr Manoon said growth this year would only be about 3 percent.
The market leader is Shell with a 30 percent share followed by Esso with about 20 percent, Caltex with 19 percent and PTT 15 percent, while Bangchak is in fifth place.
