Hamilton Sundstrand Gets Power Distribution System Work on Boeing 7E7.

Mar. 26--Boeing Co. has chosen Hamilton Sundstrand to provide the primary power distribution system for its new 7E7 Dreamliner aircraft, the companies announced Thursday.

The win for Windsor Locks-based Hamilton follows wins on four systems for the 7E7 announced in early February.

The company, a division of United Technologies Corp., estimated that the total value of its work on the 7E7 could be worth $5.5 billion if the new program is as successful as Boeing hopes. The bulk of that -- $5 billion -- would come from the earlier announced wins.
