Energy Efficiency Means Profits for Milwaukee's Johnson Controls Unit.

Mar. 31--Helping create more energy efficient and environmentally friendly buildings has been good for the bottom line of Johnson Controls and its customers.
The company is a leader in managing other companies' buildings and helping them save money on their energy bills. Its Milwaukee-based controls division posted record sales of more than $5.5 billion last year, and the Glendale-based parent company's sales have grown for 57 straight years.
But Johnson Controls, Wisconsin's largest company as ranked by sales, is getting recognition for a much broader commitment to what is termed the "triple bottom line" of economy, environment and equity.
