Tacoma, Wash., Port's Master Builder to Move to Private Sector.

Apr. 1--Jeff Lincoln, who has helped develop many of the Port of Tacoma's major facilities, will leave in two weeks to take a job with a rapidly growing port consultant in Southern California.

Lincoln, 55, the port's senior director of facilities development since 1993, will become office manager and container and intermodal terminal manager for Han-Padron Associates in Long Beach.

"They now do no work in the Northwest," Lincoln said. "Obviously, I'm planning on changing that if I can."

Tim Farrell, port deputy executive director, said no plans have been made to find a replacement.
