Midwest Airlines Nears Deal to Fly Delta Connection from Cincinnati.

Apr. 7--Midwest Airlines is close to signing an agreement that could more than double the size of its regional carrier, Skyway Airlines.

Tuesday, Midwest and Skyway officials confirmed that discussions were under way with Delta Airlines for Skyway to fly Delta Connection flights from Cincinnati.

The routes would come from Atlantic Coast Airlines, a regional carrier that plans to sever its ties with Delta and United airlines and become independent in June.

Atlantic Coast currently makes more than 240 Delta Connection flights a day between Cincinnati and about 40 other cities, including Philadelphia and Boston. It has a fleet of 30 Fairchild Dornier...
