Apr. 12--TV WRITER'S FUTURE GOES TO THE DOGS: Terri Ann Palumbo, an Emmy-winning writer and producer, recently decided to trade the world of television for the growing market of pet products.
Less than two weeks ago, Palumbo bought The Barkery, a retail shop in downtown Fort Pierce that sells items for even the most discriminating of dogs and cats, including bowls, leashes, perfume, cologne, clothes, pastries and beds.
Last fall, she discovered the store on a visit for a PAX-TV project called Animal Tails. She was impressed with the store and its 1950s-style decor, and a few months ago, heard that its founder, Mary Jane Cole, was considering early...
