Apr. 17--ITV shareholders want chairman Sir Peter Burt to clarify why he met Greg Dyke at the broadcaster's annual meeting on Monday.
The banker will be asked to come clean about chief executive Charles Allen's future, amid rumours that he is already hunting for a replacement for his fellow Scot.
Burt admitted spending two hours chatting with former BBC director general Dyke, but insists the top ITV job was not on their agenda.
The meeting took place in the offices of venture capitalist Apax, where Burt is a senior adviser. Stephen Grabiner, the former ITV Digital boss and Apax's media expert who was sizing up a bid for ITV last year, was present.
