Kyocera Aims to Sell 30 Million Mobile Phones in 2004 Fiscal Year.

Apr. 24--High technology firm Kyocera Corp. aims to bolster its worldwide mobile phone shipments for the business year that started April 1 by 54 percent over the previous year to 30 million handsets, Kyocera President Yasuo Nishiguchi has said.
Of the total shipment goal for fiscal 2004, cellphones account for 18 million units, with the remainder being personal handy-phone systems (PHS), he said in an interview with Kyodo News on Thursday.
Kyocera shipped a total of 19.5 million mobile phones worldwide in the business year that ended March 31, with cellphones accounting for 13.4 million.
