Auto Manufacturers Push Dealers to Adopt Universal Showroom Design.

Apr. 26--Automotive dealerships traditionally have offered a variety of showroom styles. Some styles reflected the taste of dealership owners while other mimicked architectural motifs prevalent in that part of the country.
The new concept in auto-manufacturing circles calls for virtually identical showrooms everywhere -- the same strategy used by restaurants, clothing stores and other retailers to convey a consistent brand image.
Pete T. Eisenhauer, president of Eisenhauer Nissan/Saab, Lower Heidelberg Township, said Nissan is mandating him to separate his two automotive businesses by 2005 to provide exclusive showrooms.
