Apr. 29--CIVIC, BUSINESS LEADERS REVISIT KEY ISSUES IN D.C.: Spokane civic and business officials were back in Washington, D.C., last week practicing local politics. Practice, several say since returning, pays off.
The visit was the second by a large delegation in as many years. Its 39 members deployed to the Pentagon, the U.S. Geological Survey, the U.S. Small Business Administration, Economic Development Administration, and just about every senator and representative who has a stake in Spokane's well-being, and some who don't.
