Regional Jets Replace Turboprops at Newport News, Va., Airport.

May 5--NEWPORT NEWS, Va. -- US Airways Express will add regional jet service from Newport News/Williamsburg International Airport to Philadelphia and Charlotte, N.C., beginning July 11.
Regional jets will replace turboprops on three of the six daily flights from the airport to Philadelphia and will be offered on one daily flight to Charlotte.
The airline is attempting to boost the number of regional jets it offers in its fleets.
"We've consistently found that customers prefer regional jets to the turboprop aircraft," said US Airways spokesperson Amy Kudwa.
