May 6--Finals week and a computer worm both hit this week at Gonzaga University.

Chris Odle spent 10 hours trying to get his laptop to work properly while other college students studied for finals.

His machine crashed every few minutes making it unusable and just about impossible to fix. His laptop locked up as he was halfway through an online quiz.

Jaded professors who've heard every excuse must be hearing a whole new generation of virus-ate-my-homework excuses this spring given the latest wave of worm trouble.

Odle, 19, a freshman at Gonzaga, was one of the estimated 80 students who lost use of their computers this week...
