Global Communications Forum Opens at University of Texas, Dallas.

May 7--RICHARDSON, Texas -- Telecom Corridor professors and executives found a fitting way to end the academic year and a three-year industry downturn.
They commiserated over glasses of wine in a courtyard at the University of Texas at Dallas. The beautiful spring weather was a perfect foil for the just past "nuclear winter," which many believe the industry has survived.
The mood was jovial and uplifting, but caution remained a watchword at the opening reception of UTD's three-day Global Communications Forum.
