Dallas Subaru Dealership to Buy Plano, Texas, Franchise.

May 7--Subaru of Dallas, which opened just eight months ago, is buying the Subaru franchise at Central Kia-Subaru in Plano and plans to open a new dealership in the area within a year.
David Thomas, managing partner of Subaru of Dallas, said he was not planning to expand into other markets this soon. But when the franchise became available, "we had to either do it or someone else would buy it," Mr. Thomas said Thursday.
Paul Fotopoulos, president of Central Kia-Subaru, said the dealership decided to spin off the Subaru franchise because of financial considerations.
