University of Missouri Leadership Re-Evaluates Tuition Policy.

May 7--University of Missouri President Elson Floyd said the university system is trying to develop a long-range tuition policy that will eliminate the need for steep fee increases during difficult budget years.
Floyd's remarks came during an address before the MU Faculty Council at its regular meeting yesterday.
The tuition planning will include an examination of how UM awards financial aid, Floyd said, adding that UM will consider whether to make more awards on the basis of economic need rather than academic merit.
Base undergraduate tuition for the four UM campuses will increase 7.5 percent for the upcoming academic year. The previous two hikes...
