May 11--The Charlotte County Chamber of Commerce and Visitor's Bureau, along with the Punta Gorda Business Alliance, are among organizations making this a busy week for business in the area.
The chamber's second annual Small Business Week continues today with a workshop on Microsoft PowerPoint from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the chamber office at 2702 Tamiami Trail in Port Charlotte. The chamber is teaming with the Small Business Development Center at Florida Gulf Coast University for the week's programs.
The business alliance is holding a Business After Hours get-together at 5:30 p.m. today at the Isles Yacht Club, 1780 W. Marion Ave. in Punta Gorda.
