TrustCo Bank Corp NY Will Open First Branch in New Jersey.

May 12--TrustCo Bank Corp NY plans to open a branch in New Jersey, the third new state that the Glenville-based bank holding company will have entered in the past two years.
The bank received approval in March from the U.S. Office of Thrift Supervision for a branch at 385 N. Franklin Turnpike in Ramsey, a tony suburb northwest of New York City.
TrustCo spokesman Robert Leonard said the branch could open in early 2005. But the location is not part of a new push out-of-state, he said. Instead, it's a continuation of the bank's previously announced plan to open a cluster of branches in the lower Hudson Valley region.
