University, Botanical Garden Reach Agreement over Fordham, N.Y., Radio Tower.

May 14--Like the famous Rose Garden picture of President Clinton getting Yasser Arafat to shake hands with Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin, the heads of Fordham University and the New York Botanical Garden shook hands yesterday in a peace accord over the infamous Fordham radio tower.

With Montefiore Medical Center President Dr. Spencer Foreman presiding in the peacemaking Bill Clinton role, the formerly feuding parties officially announced a tentative plan to dismantle the 260-foot, half-built transmission tower that has hovered for a decade over the garden's vistas.
