Thai Copper-Cathode Tariff to Remain Unchanged.

May 17--The import tariff on copper cathode will be kept unchanged at 1 percent as any increase could have repercussions on the downstream industry, according to Industry Minister Pinit Charusombat.
The cabinet recently approved tariff restructuring on hundreds of goods used in manufacturing. It included an increase in the tariff on copper cathode to 5 percent from 1 percent, effective from June 1 this year to Dec 31, 2006.
