Universal Studios Adds 'Mummy' Thrill Ride to Orlando, Fla., Theme Park.

May 20--With its creepy bugs, pretzel turns and real flames roiling overhead, Revenge of the Mummy should be anything but a curse to Universal Studios.

Opening Friday after a media preview today, the "psychological thrill ride" is expected to help the Orlando theme park scare up some of its biggest crowds in years.

Universal isn't advertising Mummy as heavily as Walt Disney World has promoted Epcot's Mission: Space, but the opening gives the resort one more lever to pull, one more reason for tourists to visit the resort and locals to visit it again.
