May 20--Matt Evans, 31, began working for Charter Communications almost two years ago. He took the job upon returning to the Central Coast from New York, where he studied computer technologies at Monroe Community College.
Evans, who joined the trade in a friend's footsteps, enjoys his job installing cable lines and other equipment.
"I like to work independently, but it is nice to know that if you need help there is always someone around the corner to offer assistance," he said.
