Soaring Oil, Gas Prices Boost Exxon Mobil's Profits to Record Levels.

May 27--Thanks to soaring oil and gas prices, Exxon Mobil Corp. finished last year with record profits.
But amid unrest in the Middle East and political uncertainty, rising commodity prices aren't easy on the world's largest publicly traded energy company, Exxon Mobil's top executive said Wednesday.
"We are the largest buyer of crude oil in the world," said Lee Raymond, chairman and chief executive, in a news conference following the Irving-based company's annual shareholder meeting. "When people talk about feeling a pinch because the price of crude oil is going up, we understand that. We buy more crude oil than anybody, anywhere, anytime."
