Gasoline Prices Don't Scare San Antonio-Area Drivers.

May 27--It apparently takes more than wallet-scorching gasoline prices to separate Texans from the big SUVs and pickups they love, or to make them curtail their driving habits.
Prices at some area gas stations jumped as much as 13 cents a gallon over the weekend, the highest one-time increase many stations had seen since the 1970s. And prices are expected to rise a few cents more this week, surpassing the $2.064 national average for a gallon of regular gas, reached Monday.
But San Antonio-area car dealers say they've seen no corresponding drop-off in sales of SUVs or pickups.
