Jun. 5--SS&C Technologies Inc., the Windsor-based maker of financial software, said Friday that it was pricing a public offering of as many as 4.5 million shares of stock at $19.50 a share, just below the current sales price.
The company is offering 3.375 million shares, with another 1.125 million being offered by insiders, including William Stone, the company's chairman and chief executive.
The company said its net proceeds will be used for "working capital and other general corporate purposes, including potential acquisitions."
Shares of SS&C closed Friday at $19.99, down 78 cents, or 3.8 percent, on the day.
