Factory Outlet President Says 2 Long Island, N.Y., Malls Can Co-Exist.

Jun. 8--The president of Tanger Factory Outlet Centers Inc. said yesterday that he is optimistic the company's planned outlets in Deer Park will become a destination for Long Islanders and won't hurt Tanger's sprawling center in Riverhead.
Speaking in Manhattan at a National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts conference, Steven B. Tanger said the planned center primarily would attract shoppers from the South Shore, rather than from the 10-year-old Riverhead center.
