Jun. 5--A Pennsylvania-based pet supply company recently opened a distribution center in Wellford.
Phillips Feed & Pet Supply, the nation's largest distributor of Nestle-Purina pet supplies, moved into the 30,000-square-foot building at 309 Old Spartanburg Highway in May.
Rex Richards, director of operations for the company, said the company began looking for a new Southeast distribution location when Nestle-Purina offered the company a new opportunity for business.
