Newton, Mass.-Based Software Firm Wins Homeland Security Contract.

Jun. 9--Cymfony Inc. has received a $750,000 contract to develop search software for intelligence analysis and homeland security, the Air Force has announced.
Headquartered in Newton, Mass., with offices in Amherst and Bangalore, India, Cymfony was founded by University at Buffalo computer scientist Rohini Srihari.
Under the grant from the Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) program, the company will develop software that hones search results for intelligence analysts, said Carrie G. Pine, program manager for the Air Force Research Laboratory's Information Directorate in Rome.
