'Boiler room' Operators Fined, Jail Suspended in Bangkok, Thailand.

Jun. 11--The Bangkok South Criminal Court yesterday convicted seven people for operating unlicensed securities businesses.

The defendants had been accused of operating "boiler rooms" under such names as The Brinton Group, Sigama Capital Management, Lincoln Financial and E.go Trade Incorporated.

John Kealy, Scott Fisher, Paul Hickey, Ronan Murray, Steven Hooper, Jason Rich and Adrian Wallis were ordered to each pay 200,000 baht in fines and were given suspended jail terms of two years.
