Royal Bank of Scotland CEO Receives Knighthood Honour.

Jun. 12--Three bosses of our top 100 companies picked up a knighthoods in the Queen's birthday honours.
Royal Bank of Scotland chief executive Fred Goodwin, 45, becomes a knight for services to banking.
Goodwin -- dubbed Fred the Shred for his cost cutting -- has headed RBS for the last four years, expanding successfully in the US.
"I warmly welcome this announcement," said RBS chairman Sir George Mathewson. "The honour is richly deserved."
Vodafone's chief operating officer Julian Horn-Smith may have missed out on the top job to Arun Sarin, but he is also becoming a knight.
So is Crispin Davis, chief executive of academic publisher Reed Elsevier.
