Jun. 12--NISSAN'S TITAN LIVES UP TO ITS NAME: The 2004 Nissan Titan weighs more than 2 1/2 tons empty, can tow more than 4 1/2 tons and, in the world of large consumer trucks, this is one big pickup.
Mind you, taking up almost 1 1/2 spaces in a parking lot in Hartford doesn't win many friends, so this truck really needs to roam free; its 28-gallon fuel tank has a range of 504 miles on its 18-mpg highway mileage. City mileage is an (ouch!) 14 mpg.
The King Cab version has small rear doors that can only be opened after you get the driver or passenger door opened. And those small doors fold back out of the way against the bed of the truck so you can unload...
