Jun. 12--DRIVE IT, AND SEE WHO PAYS: Here's a novel idea: An automaker will pay you to test-drive one of its cars, but only if you end up not buying it.

General Motors is so sure of its products that it's willing to bet $250 that you will buy one of its cars or trucks instead of a competing brand.

Through July 6, any prospective customer who takes part in GM's overnight test-drive program, but who then chooses to buy a competing brand vehicle, will receive $250 just for trying the GM car.
