Jun. 14--The latest DVD player lets you skip violence, foul language and adult situations in the movies you or your kids watch.

Naturally Hollywood doesn't want you to have it.

The movie industry sued the DVD maker, ClearPlay Inc. of Salt Lake City, saying the player violates its rights.

You might think big entertainment would embrace the ClearPlay DVD player. Removing objectionable content might make more people watch more movies.

But the industry embraced ClearPlay like it embraced the VCR in the early '80s.
