GE Vows to Continue Reconstruction Operations in Iraq despite Bombing.

Jun. 15--Monday's car bombing in Baghdad that killed three General Electric Co. employees will not drive the Fairfield-based company out of Iraq, according to a spokesman.

"Tragically, three employees of a wholly-owned subsidiary company of GE and two security contractors have been killed today in a car bombing in Baghdad. Our thoughts and prayers are with their families and with all those killed or injured in this attack," said spokesman Gary Sheffer in a statement.
