Jun. 16--The Snohomish County Public Utility District is preparing to face scrutiny from local, state and federal agencies as it seeks to re-license the Henry M. Jackson Hydroelectric Project.
The PUD, which operates the hydro project on the Sultan River, expects to begin discussions over environmental and operational concerns with the state Department of Ecology and Department of Fish and Wildlife, as well as with other interested parties, such as the Tulalip Tribes and American Rivers, a conservation group.
